About Jeremy
Greetings! I am a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Berkeley Center for American Democracy (University of California, Berkeley), studying political behavior, political psychology, and American politics. In my research, I study ideological empathy, meaning individuals’ ability to approach unfamiliar viewpoints generously instead of negatively. I furthermore investigate whether there are ways to generate ideological empathy between liberal Democrats and conservative Republicans. I received my PhD in Political Science from Northwestern University.
My work is supported by the Rapoport Family Foundation and the Tideline Foundation, and has been published in Political Psychology and the Economics of Education Review.
